Qualifications-Associates degree in Early Childhood or related field Bachelors degree preferred-Minimum of five years experience serving as a Lead Teacher in an early childhood/preschool setting -Hold or be eligible for the C.P.R. & First Aid Certification-Hold or be eligible for RIELDS Certification-Such alternatives to the above qualifications as may be appropriate and acceptableEssential Duties/Responsibilities-Oversee the daily operations of the Davies Playschool ensuring a developmentally appropriate supervised play environment for young children (ages 3.5-5)-Manage program enrollment scheduling attendance and related documentation-Collaborate with Education CTE faculty to provide regular meaningful access to Davies Education program students in the Davies Playschool-Model professional teaching practices classroom management lessons and ethical standards for the Davies Education students-Provide ongoing feedback to students to promote job skills and workforce readiness-Manage the operational budget for the Davies Playschool including purchasing inventory management and donations-Implement program policies and procedures related to operations staffing safety and family engagement-Coordinate staffing to ensure appropriate coverage and optimal learning experiences for Davies Playschool students-Communicate effectively with families caregivers and staff-Support outreach recruitment and community partnerships that enhance the Davies Playschool and Education CTE program-Perform other duties as assigned Skills & Understanding Required-Communicates and collaborates effectively with children students families and colleagues -Know and understand state defined learning standards for children 3- 5 years oldPhysical Demands-The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
