Job Summary
We are seeking skilled SMT Operator I II and III professionals to join our manufacturing team. These roles involve operating surface mount technology (SMT) equipment to assemble printed circuit boards (PCBs) with precision and adherence to quality standards. The ideal candidates will have a strong background in electrical and mechanical assembly soldering and related manufacturing processes. This position offers opportunities for growth and development within a dynamic production environment.
Duties
- Set up and operate SMT equipment for PCB assembly ensuring accurate placement of components.
- Read and interpret schematics IPC 610 standards and technical drawings to facilitate proper assembly.
- Perform soldering using surface mount technology techniques ensuring high-quality connections.
- Use hand tools power tools calipers ohmmeters and machining tools to assist in assembly and repairs.
- Conduct electrical wiring and troubleshooting on assembled PCBs as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations according to safety and quality protocols.
- Inspect completed assemblies for defects or issues adhering to IPC 610 standards.
- Collaborate with engineering teams on schematic reviews and mechanical integration tasks.
- Document production activities accurately and report any equipment malfunctions or quality concerns promptly.
- Supports all SMT processes as needed.
Requirements
- Proven experience working with PCB assembly surface mount technology soldering and electrical wiring.
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) schematics IPC 610 standards and mechanical knowledge.
- Ability to operate hand tools power tools calipers ohmmeters and machining equipment safely and effectively.
- Strong understanding of electrical components schematics and assembly processes in a manufacturing setting.
- Mechanical aptitude with experience in machining or using hand tools for component installation or repair preferred.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to read technical drawings and schematics accurately.
- Prior experience working with surface mount technology (SMT) soldering techniques and electronics assembly is highly desirable.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards. This position is integral to our manufacturing operations and offers a rewarding opportunity for individuals passionate about electronics assembly and manufacturing excellence.
Pay: $19/hr (Days)-$20.50/hr (Swing)
Shifts:
Day: 6am-2:30pm
Swing: 3pm-11:30pm
