Job Title: Business Development Specialist - Digital Payments
Term: 6 months (potential extension)
Location: Sydney Australia
PURPOSE OF THE PROJECT
We are seeking a results-driven Business Development professional to lead the growth of Click to Pay (C2P) across the Australian market. This role focuses on driving new business opportunities strengthening and expanding strategic merchant partnerships and building a robust sales pipeline through effective lead generation and qualification. Including the opportunity to work in a dynamic collaborative environment with strong exposure to senior stakeholders.
Click to Pay is a rapidly expanding global payment solution enhancing digital commerce through improved security simplicity and speedreplicating the seamless experience of contactless payments. As global adoption continues to accelerate it offers significant opportunities across the digital payments ecosystem.
Core Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Contribute to new product business development by initiating contact with potential new customers and managing opportunities through the sales pipeline to a successful close further extending our customer base and product reach.
- Prospect identify and qualify potential merchants through research cold calling and networking.
- Generating leads and set up meetings for the sales team.
- Progress deals along the pipeline and support local account teams ensuring all clients utilize the full potential of C2P.
- Maintain an organized pipeline of prospects and follow up on leads.
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide regular reports.
- Drive the sales process from prospecting to executing commercial contracts ensuring a seamless and efficient sales cycle.
Knowledge and Experience:
- 3-5 years Sales/business Development experience (working with retailers or acquirers).
- Strong relationships with Australian retailers a bonus.
- Ability to develop senior-level relationships quickly and effectively.
- Ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously at various stages of the buying process.
- Excellent communication skills both with customers and within an organisation.
Mandatory Skills:
- Previous experience in Sales and Business Development
- Previous experience within Banking Digital Payment & Card solutions or the FinTech industry.
- Regional experience including working in a faced-paced matrix organisation.
- Excellent communication skills (written verbal and presentation) in English.
- Willingness to travel within Australia.
Preferred Skills:
- The ability to analyse data troubleshoot payment issues optimize processes and make data-driven decisions.
- Good understanding of payment systems digital platforms system workflows security basics and industry technologies.
- An understanding of regional regulations across financial services or payment networks.
