Position: Multilingual Prompt Designer
Type: Freelance
Compensation: $25$30/hour
Location: Remote
Duration: 2 months
Commitment: 20 hours/week

Role Responsibilities

• Author Japanese/English promptgolden answer pairs to train and evaluate advanced language models.
• Create detailed prompts in Japanese and/or English with constraints and instructions ensuring natural phrasing and relevance.
• Establish evaluation standards for correct responses in Japanese contexts developing rubrics that account for linguistic nuance and cultural conventions.
• Run prompts through models and assess outputs for accuracy fluency and cultural fit in Japanese.
• Collaborate in QA review processes to ensure consistency and reliability across Japanese-language benchmarks.
• Work independently and asynchronously to meet deadlines while improving AI model performance.

Qualifications

Must-Have

• Native-level fluency in Japanese (written) with strong reading/writing ability in English.
• BS or BA from a reputable institution (completed or in progress).
• Strong writing and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Familiarity with ChatGPT or similar tools.
• Based in Japan or able to produce Japan-specific content.

Preferred

• Experience in teaching research editing or academic writing.
• Experience creating evaluation criteria rubrics or grading guidelines.
• Familiarity with LLMs prompting or model evaluation.

• Complete an AI-led interview (about 15 minutes).
• Complete a 45-minute written assessment focused on writing and rubric creation.
