Job Summary

About the Role

The Inventory Lead is responsible for overseeing and managing the companys inventory ensuring that products are adequately stocked and inventory records are accurate. This role involves coordinating with various departments optimizing inventory levels and implementing effective strategies to reduce shrink and improve efficiency in inventory management.

What will you do

  • Maintain accurate inventory levels.
  • Monitor inventory movement and perform regular inventory counts (both manual and digital) to ensure consistency between physical inventory and book inventory.
  • Implement stock control techniques to reduce wastage shrinkage and obsolescence.
  • Work closely with procurement sales and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery and replenishment of inventory.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure smooth operations.
  • Forecast future inventory needs based on sales trends seasonal fluctuations and business demand.
  • Utilize inventory management software (such as AgVance) to track and record all inventory transactions.
  • Generate reports for Hub Lead to analyze inventory turnover inventory levels and other key performance indicators.
  • Ensure accurate record-keeping of goods received sold or transferred.
  • Supervise the ordering process ensuring that all items are ordered on time and in the correct quantities.
  • Manage and train operational staff providing guidance and ensuring adherence to inventory best practices.
  • Conduct regular audits to verify inventory accuracy and identify discrepancies.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements regarding inventory control storage and safety regulations.
  • Uphold workplace safety standards in all areas related to inventory and warehouse management.

Requirements
  • 3 years of experience in inventory or quality control
  • A valid drivers license is required
