Marshfield Medical Center - Eau Claire is seeking a part-time BC/BE Pediatrician to join our well-established Pediatric department in Eau Claire Wisconsin.

- Provide all aspects of routine outpatient care hospital care of newborns infants children and adolescents and attend high-risk deliveries
- Join a collegial team that consists of 3 other Pediatricians
- Provide outreach to our clinic in Chippewa Falls
- Call coverage is 1:5 for nursery and deliveries
- Team-based model of care

Community Description

Located in western Wisconsin Eau Claire meaning French for clear waters is located at the confluence of the Chippewa and Eau Claire Rivers and is considered to be one of Eau Claires finest assets and a valuable link to the areas heritage. The most recent investment in the arts and live music scene is the Pablo Center at the Confluence a 1200 seat theatre with an approximately 400-seat flexible theatre that has three rehearsal dance and community rooms visual arts galleries and more. Eau Claire is home to the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire and Chippewa Valley Technical College as well as excellent public and private K-12 schools. Job Description

Pediatric Core Privilege include the ability to admit (if applicable to setting) evaluate diagnose treat and provide consultation to patients from birth to young adulthood (21 years of age) concerning their physical emotional and social health as well as treating acute and chronic disease including major complicated illnesses. Core privileges may also include providing care to patients in the intensive care setting in conformance with unit addition applicants may assess stabilize and determine the disposition of patients with emergent conditions consistent with medical staff policy regarding emergency and consultative call services.

Qualifications

M.D. or D.O. degree.

Experience can be demonstrated in one of the following ways and should be reflective of the privileges being requested: An applicant who has just completed a residency provides his/her residency log. OR An applicant who is not applying directly out of a residency shall provide a quality profile from the hospital(s) where he/she currently has privileges showing his/her clinical activity for the past 12 months including numbers of procedures performed morbidity mortality infection rates and other complications. The applicant must be able to demonstrate at least 50 pediatric patients in the last 12 months. OR If a quality profile is not available from the hospital(s) where the applicant currently has privileges documentation of the applicants clinical setting activity for the last 12 months is required. The applicant must be able to demonstrate at least 50 pediatric patients in the clinical practice in the last 12 education and experience may be required the more advanced the practice becomes.

Successful completion of a hospital affiliated residency Pediatric program accredited by the ACGME the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) or the Royal College of Physician and Surgeons of Canada. Training at residency programs accredited by organizations other than the above may be considered via the waiver of eligibility process as defined in the Credentialing Policy. Certification in the primary area of practice by the appropriate specialty/sub-specialty board of the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) or the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada as applicable. Those applicants who are not board certified at the time of application but who have completed their residency training within the last five years shall be eligible however must achieve board certification within five years from the date of completion of their residency training unless the appropriate governing Board waives such requirement. (Refer to each entitys policy for grandfather exceptions) Privileging documents and related credentialing requirements will supersede this job description in defining minimum qualifications criteria and scope of practice if variation between documents exists.
