Environmental Services Technician (Part Time)

Job Summary
ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICE
- Vacuums spot clean disinfect and clean all areas of the hospital.
- Collects and transports trash cleans and relines trash containers with plastic bags.
- Cleans and sanitizes tops of windows door frames and other high places.
- Clean and sanitize induction units light fixtures etc.
- Washes and sanitizes sinks and other plumbing fixtures and replaces disposables such as paper towels soap and toilet paper.
- Dusts cleans sanitizes and polishes furniture including beds.
- Completes all cleaning and preparation of patient rooms for new occupants or concurrent cleaning and sanitizing procedures for rooms with patients.
- Spot clean walls windows doors ceilings between scheduled washings wash and sanitize as scheduled.
- Keeps walks and entryways free of snow and debris.
- Adheres to hospital and department policies procedures objectives safe environmental infection control and Quality assurance program.
- Maintain all required records reports statistics etc.
- Assist in the care and maintenance of department equipment and supplies.
- Participate in educational programs and in-service meetings. Attend meetings as required.
- Follow all Hospital safety standards and participate in Safety training.
- Responsible for communicating and applying Compliance Program standards procedures and goals.
- Actively participate in team oriented decision-making process. Is a team player willing to be flexible and open to others ideas.
- Performs other duties as directed by a proper authority as indicated in an approved Hospital policy
Weekly Hours: 4:30pm-11pm; 3 days/week Weekend Rotation: Work every fifth weekend. May be more frequent depending on staffing levels. Rotating Holidays.
