The Division of Gastroenterology & Hepatology at the University of Maryland School of Medicine is recruiting a full-time academic transplant hepatologist. This position will work with our multidisciplinary team of Hepatologists and Transplant Surgeons to provide clinical services at the University of Maryland Downtown Midtown Campuses various UMMS outreach practices within the community as well as local ambulatory surgical centers.
Expected faculty rank is Assistant Professor or higher however final rank tenure status and salary will be commensurate with the selected candidates qualifications and experience.
Expected salary range for Assistant Professors is $225865 (min) and $438554 (max). The referenced salary range reflects base pay which is based on faculty rank and years in rank. This salary range does not include all components of the departmental faculty compensation program or pay from participation in departmental variable compensation programs. The referenced salary range represents the minimum and maximum salaries for this position and is based on the University of Maryland School of Medicines good faith belief at the time of posting. Not all candidates will be eligible for the upper end of the salary range. The actual compensation offered to the selected candidate may vary and will ultimately depend on multiple factors which may include the successful candidates geographic location skills work experience internal equity market conditions education/training and other factors as reasonably determined by the University.

This position requires an MD or DO degree from a recognized accredited domestic university (or foreign equivalent) and candidates must be eligible for an unrestricted Maryland license. The successful candidate must possess a strong commitment to in and outpatient care and teaching and the ability to work well in a team setting and possess superior clinical and endoscopic skills and be BC/BE in Gastroenterology. A record of clinical investigation is highly desirable.
