Your role
As a Senior Backend Architect you will design and build backend solutions for complex modern commerce platforms. Youll work directly with customers and cross-functional Solteq teams - turning business needs into APIfirst microservicesbased architectures that are scalable robust and longlasting.
This role combines architectural leadership with handson development giving you the space to influence direction while staying connected to implementation.
What youll do
Design and build headless APIfirst commerce backends
Develop modular services in containerized cloud environments
Implement integrations and eventdriven workflows across commerce ecosystems
Take ownership of backend architecture quality and scalability
Work directly with customers to refine requirements and shape solutions
Contribute to CI/CD pipelines automated testing and continuous delivery practices
Support and guide colleagues as a trusted technical voice
Help shape how we build futureready commerce solutions
What were looking for
You are skilled curious and comfortable taking technical ownershipwhile also valuing teamwork inclusion and open communication.
Your experience includes:
5 years in eCommerce or backend development
Strong expertise in Java (TypeScript experience is a plus)
Handson experience with Kubernetes Docker REST APIs and integrations
Knowledge of microservices eventdriven systems and headless architectures
Solid experience working in Agile teams and owning technical decisions
CI/CD practices and automated testing (TDD is a plus)
Experience with AIassisted development tools (e.g. GitHub Copilot)
Confidence engaging with customers and presenting technical solutions

Balancing long-term architectural ownership with pragmatic delivery
Experience working crossfunctionally or in distributed teams
Danish and/or Norwegian language skills
Production monitoring and observability: Prometheus Grafana ELK OpenTelemetry
Designing secure APIs auth flows (OAuth2 JWT SSO)
Familiarity with AWS services: SQS SNS S3 CloudFront Lambda
