About the Job

As part of our expansion in Vietnam ALTIOS is seeking a Junior Accountant to join our team in Ho Chi Minh this role you will support accounting tax and compliance activities for a portfolio of SME clients ensuring accurate timely and compliant financial operations in line with both local regulations and international standards.

Mission

You will be responsible for managing daily accounting operations including recording checking and classifying general ledger entries such as customer and supplier invoices bank transactions payroll and petty cash. Your strong attention to detail and sense of responsibility will ensure the accuracy and reliability of financial data.

In parallel you will handle tax and legal declarations preparing VAT PIT CIT and FCT filings in compliance with local regulations and deadlines. Your rigor and commitment will be essential in ensuring full compliance and minimizing risks for clients.

You will also contribute to monthly and annual financial closings by supporting accruals reconciliations and the preparation of closing reports and adjustments. Your analytical mindset and ability to identify discrepancies will allow you to detect and escalate issues effectively to senior team members.

Maintaining accurate accounting records will be a key part of your role including monitoring accounts receivable and payable managing fixed asset registers and ensuring consistency across balances. You will also support audit processes by preparing documentation responding to auditor queries and assisting in implementing recommendations.

In addition you will assist in payroll preparation for both local and expatriate employees demonstrating confidentiality and precision. You will regularly communicate with clients addressing routine accounting and tax-related queries requiring strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Beyond accounting tasks you will support administrative and compliance-related activities such as liaising with tax authorities and social insurance agencies assisting with visa work permit and Temporary Residence Card (TRC) applications and contributing to the incorporation of new legal entities in Vietnam. Your adaptability and willingness to learn will enable you to handle a variety of tasks in a dynamic environment.

Profile

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance Management Accounting or a related field

  • 2 -4 years of experience in accounting or finance; experience in a consulting firm is a plus

  • Solid understanding of accounting standards tax regulations and compliance requirements

  • Experience with general accounting operations including AP/AR payroll and bank reconciliation

  • Familiarity with ERP systems and strong proficiency in MS Excel Word and PowerPoint

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify discrepancies in financial data

  • Good organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines

  • Clear communication skills and ability to interact effectively with clients and stakeholders

  • Proactive reliable and able to work both independently and as part of a team

  • Adaptable and comfortable working in an international and multicultural environment

  • Fluent in English
