About the Role:

Are you a seasoned Go developer with a passion for building the systems that power modern gaming experiences We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join a high-impact team at one of Stockholms most exciting gaming clients.

In this role you will join a specialized team responsible for the business logic surrounding player-specific progression and metagame functionality. Your work ensures that millions of players can track their quests progress through seasonal content and manage their digital inventories seamlessly.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and scale backend services in Golang for progression-related features (Battle Pass Quests Leaderboards).

• Manage high-traffic systems handling player inventories and in-game transactions.

• Collaborate with game designers to translate gameplay mechanics into robust backend logic.

• Maintain and optimize cloud infrastructure using a modern DevOps stack.

Requirements:

To thrive in this environment we believe you have a strong foundation in distributed systems and a quality-first mindset.

• 5 years of experience building scalable backend systems with a deep mastery of Golang.

• Hands-on experience with Cloud Infrastructure: Specifically GCP (Google Cloud Platform) and Kubernetes.

• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform.

• Experience with high-performance databases (exposure to Google Spanner is a major plus).

Bonus Points:

• A background in the gaming industry.

• Experience or curiosity regarding C and Unreal Engine (or other game engines).

Details:

• Start Date: ASAP

• Duration: 6 months (Initial contract with high likelihood of extension).

• Location: Stockholm.

• Work Model: Hybrid (On-site 3-4 days per week to foster team collaboration)
