Job Summary

Are you passionate about craft beer delicious food and providing exceptional customer service Do you possess strong leadership skills and thrive in a fast-paced energetic environment If so we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as the Assistant Manager of our Gordon Biersch Restaurant.

Gordon Biersch is a renowned name in the restaurant and craft beer industry. Our commitment to brewing authentic German-style lagers and serving delectable chef-inspired dishes has earned us a loyal customer base. As the General Manager you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of restaurant operations. You will play a key role in maintaining our high standards for food and beverage quality customer service and overall guest experience. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in restaurant management a passion for the culinary and craft beer industry and exceptional leadership and organizational skills. Experience working in a unionized environment is a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership: Assist the General Manager in leading motivate and develop a team of dedicated restaurant staff ensuring a positive work environment and exceptional customer service.
  • Operational Excellence: Oversee daily restaurant operations including managing inventory food quality and adherence to safety and sanitation standards during your shift.
  • Financial Management: Assist in Managing the restaurants budget control costs and maximize profitability while achieving revenue targets.
  • Customer Satisfaction: Ensure the highest level of guest satisfaction by monitoring and improving service quality responding to customer feedback and resolving issues promptly.
  • Training and Development: Recruit train and develop a strong team of employees fostering a culture of growth and excellence.
  • Compliance: Ensure the restaurant complies with all local state and federal regulations as well as company policies.

Qualifications:

  • Proven management experience in the restaurant or hospitality industry.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
  • Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • In-depth knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
  • Financial acumen and experience in budget management.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Passion for craft beer and a dedication to providing an exceptional dining experience.
