Job Title: Informatica Administrator
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Informatica Administrator to manage maintain and optimize the Informatica PowerCenter and/or Informatica Intelligent Data Management Cloud (IDMC) environments. The ideal candidate will ensure high availability performance security and stability of the ETL/data integration platform supporting enterprise data warehousing and analytics initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Platform Administration
Install configure and upgrade Informatica PowerCenter and/or IDMC environments (Dev QA Prod).
Manage Informatica services including Repository Service Integration Service and Domain.
Configure nodes grids and high availability environments.
Monitor system health logs and service performance.
Security & Access Management
Configure authentication (LDAP Active Directory SSO).
Manage user roles groups and privileges.
Implement folder-level and object-level security.
Ensure compliance with enterprise security standards.
Performance & Optimization
Monitor workflow and session performance.
Tune integration services and optimize ETL job performance.
Identify bottlenecks in source/target systems.
Optimize grid configurations and resource allocation.
Backup & Disaster Recovery
Manage repository backups and restore procedures.
Maintain domain configuration backups.
Support high availability and disaster recovery strategies.
Test recovery plans periodically.
Support & Troubleshooting
Provide L2/L3 production support for Informatica workflows and services.
Troubleshoot failed workflows session errors and connectivity issues.
Analyze logs and resolve performance or stability issues.
Coordinate with database infrastructure and application teams.
Job Scheduling & Automation
Manage workflow scheduling using Informatica scheduler or external schedulers (Control-M Autosys).
Configure event-based triggers and dependencies.
Monitor batch loads and resolve job failures.
Environment Management
Migrate code across environments using deployment groups or export/import.
Support patching and hotfix installations.
Maintain environment documentation and configuration standards.
Required Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Systems or related field.
6 years of experience administering Informatica PowerCenter or IDMC.
Strong understanding of Informatica architecture (Domain Repository Integration Services).
Experience with Windows/Linux server administration.
Strong knowledge of SQL and relational databases (Oracle SQL Server DB2 Snowflake etc.).
Experience with LDAP/Active Directory integration.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with cloud data integration (Azure).
Familiarity with Informatica IICS / IDMC.
Knowledge of high availability and grid architecture.
Experience supporting enterprise-scale data warehouse environments.
ITIL or production support background.
