Job Title: Cash Application Specialist
Location: Lawrence KS 66044 (Onsite)
Duration: 3 Months (Possible Extensions)
Schedule: Monday Friday 7:30 AM 4:00 PM (40 hours/week)
Pay Rate: $20 $22/hr. on w2.

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Cash Application Specialist to support accounts receivable operations by accurately processing and reconciling incoming payments. This role involves managing high-volume transactions resolving discrepancies and ensuring timely and accurate posting of payments across multiple channels.

Key Responsibilities

Process and post payments received via Lockbox ACH and credit card transactions
Prepare daily cash reports and reconcile payments to Accounts Receivable (AR) postings
Research and resolve payment discrepancies and unapplied cash
Maintain and update records within the AR system
Analyze payment data to ensure accuracy and completeness
Support resolution of inquiries from field representatives
Assist with departmental workflows and special projects assigned
Provide support to Cash Team Lead and Supervisor as needed

Required Skills & Qualifications

Education & Experience:

High School Diploma or GED required
1 2 years of experience in customer service accounts receivable or cash applications

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel Word Outlook)
Basic knowledge of Accounts Receivable and cash posting processes
Typing and data entry skills with strong accuracy

Soft Skills:

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Analytical and problem-solving abilities
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and within a team in a fast-paced environment
