Job Summary

Building Trades/Construction Technology Instructor

2026-2027 School year; 186 contract days 100% FTE

Location: Mandan High School

Salary:Starting $55550 for Bachelors degree; starting $57072 for Masters degree.Full benefit package included.

Position Summary:

Provides instruction in the selected areas of Technology and Engineering Education to ensurethat students demonstrate appropriate mastery of standards gain knowledge and skills essential to the industry and are prepared for related career and post-secondary opportunities. Instruction on how to use tools machinery and materials properly and safety. Knowledge ofproject-based instruction of engineering concepts in fields such as manufacturing construction communication power energy and transportation technologies. Knowledge of or experience with AutoCAD.

Essential duties and responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:

Assists with preparing student for the TSA competitions.
TSA is the CTSO for Technology and Engineering Education students.

Qualifications:

Must hold appropriate license from the ND Education Standards and Practices Board OR:
Minimum of 4 years (8000 hours) of work experience in a construction related field. An associates degree in related field may substitute up to 4000 hours.

Applicant must have or be eligible for North Dakota teaching license or must have or be eligible to be certified by the Department of Career and Technical Education in the area for Technology and Engineering Education. CTE certification must be achieved within two years. Alternative licensure is possible.
