About the position
This role is Technical Writer in Technical Documentation function. This role reports into Head of Technical Documentation with a dotted line report to Head of Process & Service R&D China.
Your main responsibilities
The Technical Writer/Project Manager creates technical documentation for Dometic products and other Dometic brands. This technical documentation must be compliant according to various national and international laws directives regulations and technical standards.
The Technical Writer/Project Manager uses an OxygenXML/DITAXML based authoring environment to create the technical documentation.
The Technical Writer/Project Manager acts as a Single Point of Contact (SPOC) towards the Product Managers and responsible persons in the factories for the management of all projects regarding technical documentation (internal and external documents).
The Technical Writer/Project Manager secures up-to-date creation translation archiving and publication of technical documents (operating installation service manuals etc.). To achieve this he/she creates technical documentation by himself/herself or authorizes service providers to do so.
The Technical Writer/Project Manager will spend 75% on authoring tasks and 25% on QA implementation and development of authoring guidelines.
He/she monitors and follows-up on translations quality. He/she adapts processes and tools in the technical documentation to the latest technical developments.
He/she develops layout guidelines and editorial guidelines for technical documentation. He/she supervises the observance of layout guidelines and editorial guidelines.
He/she develops and monitors a consistent terminology.
