Job Summary
The AO BSN Program Manager coordinates all activities associated with the undergraduate pre-licensure baccalaureate nursing program for a geographical region (as assigned) in Texas to ensure the successful completion of courses and the program as established by the Undergraduate Nursing Department and its faculty.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
For assigned partner hospitals Works with partner hospitals specifically the site coordinator in advance of clinical placement to coordinate lab supplies student badges and simulation experiences for the Remote and Rural area works with the site coordinator at partner hospitals to schedule clinical days and appropriate units for the AO students. Request clinical placements in various placement systems In Remote and Rural area works with site coordinators at partner hospitals to place clinical groups for all needed clinical specialties. Coordinates student orientation for assigned AO sites both facility orientation and program/university orientation. Expected to attend program/university orientations as a representative of the College of Nursing. Coordinates instructor orientation both facility orientation and program/university orientation. Makes periodic visits to partner sites while clinicals are occurring to support the AO Clinical Instructors in their teaching role. Coordinates and provides assigned AO students with their clinical schedules. As part of the AO administrative team Assists in coordinating interview process for potential AO Clinical Faculty with corresponding AO Lead Teachers and appropriate AO Team Members. Participates in weekly Program Management Meetings. Assists in formulating processes and systems for AO and applying present existing BSN program policies/procedures to the AO student. Responsible for the design execution and effectiveness of a system of internal controls which provides reasonable assurance that department operations are effective and efficient department assets are safeguarded department financial information is reliable and the department complies with applicable laws regulations policies and procedures. Other Duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
Masters degree in nursing. Current license as a registered nurse in the state of Texas.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience in design execution and effectiveness of a system of internal controls. Experience with effective and efficient department operations. Experience with departmental assets. Experience with applicable laws regulations policies and procedures.

Work Schedule
Monday-Friday; 8:00am-5:00pm Expected to work 12-month calendar with vacation consistent with years of service (15 vacation days) and University calendar. Travel to Academic Partnership sites within Texas is expected. The costs associated with these trips will be reimbursed according to usual UT System policies.
