Essential Functions
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and internal sales teams.
- Handle incoming customer inquiries via phone email and customer portals promptly and professionally.
- Enter customer orders into the ERP system with a goal of 100% accuracy.
- Prepare and enter quotes into the ERP system or shared directories.
- Assist customers in finding the right components using product catalogs web-based resources and internal tools.
- Expedite orders as needed to meet delivery commitments.
- Provide solutions in a team-oriented environment and support outside sales as required (quoting expediting customer visits).
- Follow up on quotes and actively support sales development including up-selling and cross-selling opportunities.
Experience Education and Skills
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate degree or higher preferred (especially in Fluid Power or Technical programs).
- 2 years of customer service or inside sales experience preferably in industrial distribution manufacturing or related industries.
- Familiarity with hydraulics pneumatics fluid power electrical power transmission motors or motion control is highly desirable.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel Word Outlook and able to quickly learn CRM systems (experience with Trend is a plus).
- Strong analytical mathematical and mechanical aptitude.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
- Calm under pressure with sound judgment and decision-making abilities.
- Demonstrates integrity professionalism and ethical standards.
