Summary of Position

As an Industrial Engineering Intern you will play a supportive role in optimizing manufacturing processes improving efficiency and reducing waste across various operational areas. This internship offers a hands-on opportunity to apply industrial engineering principles in a dynamic global manufacturing environment.

Intern Duties & Responsibilities

• Assist Industrial Engineers in conducting time studies process flow analysis and value stream mapping to identify bottlenecks and areas for improvement.
• Collect and analyze operational data to support the development of performance metrics and efficiency reports.
• Support the implementation of lean manufacturing principles including 5S Kaizen events and standard work procedures.
• Contribute to the design and optimization of production layouts workstations and material handling systems.
• Participate in projects aimed at improving product quality reducing cycle times and decreasing manufacturing costs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production quality and supply chain to gather requirements and implement solutions.

Qualifications

Major(s): Industrial Engineering

Class Year(s): Rising Junior Rising Senior Recent Graduate

GPA: Min 3.0

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel PowerPoint Word) is required. Experience with CAD software (e.g. AutoCAD SolidWorks) or simulation software is a plus.
• Effective Communication Self-starter Ability to drive work
• Leadership Skills: Agility Building Trusting Relationships Decision Making Skills & Resilience
