Were looking for a highly organized execution-driven Operations Manager to oversee the end-to-end delivery of academic competitions. This role sits at the center of operations coordinating logistics managing live interactions and ensuring a seamless experience for students parents and educators.
This is a fast-paced detail-oriented role ideal for someone who thrives in structured environments enjoys working with young learners and can confidently manage multiple moving parts in real time.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and manage end-to-end logistics for academic competitions
- Coordinate schedules participants and event execution across multiple time zones
- Facilitate live interactions with students parents and teachers via Zoom
- Act as the central point of contact during competitions ensuring everything runs smoothly
- Troubleshoot issues in real-time and maintain a high-quality participant experience
- Support ongoing operational improvements and documentation of processes
Requirements
- Native English speaker (neutral accent preferred but not essential)
- Prior experience in K12 education (e.g. private school teacher or similar)
- Bachelors degree required
- Demonstrated leadership experience (formal or informal)
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Comfortable working in a highly structured detail-driven environment
- Ability to confidently engage with students parents and educators
Technical Skills
- Comfortable using modern tools and platforms (e.g. ChatGPT Zoom Google Workspace)
- Tech-savvy with the ability to quickly learn new systems
- No coding or automation-building experience required
Work Model
- Remote-first role (95% conducted via Zoom)
- Must have working hour overlap with Hong Kong and Sydney time zones
- Occasional optional in-person events hosted at US university campuses
- Independent contractor (direct hire) no benefits included
