Procurement Project Buyer

Position Title: Procurement Project Buyer Supply Chain

Location: Houston

Your roleReporting to the Director Supply Chain the position will lead and/or support project procurement activities and other initiatives in the areas of supply chain and procurement.

What youll do

• Source and procure equipment and services to support new construction builds for Digital Realty data centers.
• Coordinate equipment delivery timelines in alignment with project schedules and cross-functional teams including Design Engineering and Construction.
• Manage the day-to-day procure-to-pay (P2P) process and act as the liaison between project management and suppliers to ensure timely project delivery.
• Drive supply chain improvements through strategic sourcing process optimization and supplier performance management.
• Organize maintain and manage supplier contracts.
• Track and report supply chain cost savings comparing actual results against targets.
• Monitor and report supplier performance using key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Coordinate KPI surveys with internal stakeholders to support the Strategic Supplier Management program.
• Contribute to initiatives aimed at streamlining the P2P process.
• Support the implementation of new technologies related to Supply Chain and Procurement.

What youll need

• 35 years of experience in sourcing and procurement with a focus on project-based purchasing.

• Proven success in procuring negotiating and contracting across multiple categories.

• Bachelors degree in Engineering Business Supply Chain or a related field.

• Strong working knowledge and hands-on experience with ERP systems.

• Demonstrated expertise in negotiation management.

• Experience as a buyer with direct responsibility for contract development and execution.

• Proficiency in a range of software applications including the ability to create and manage complex spreadsheets.
