Description
The Sherwin-Williams Sales Representative Training Program is an 8-week structured program designed to familiarize you with our products customers and systems preparing you for a role as one of our Business Development Representatives.

  • After training youll partner with our dynamic team of Store Managers to build your business and hit sales targets.
  • Youll have the professional tools to develop a market strategy conduct product demonstrations and advise customers on their paints & coatings projects.

Responsibilities

This role requires up to 25% travel.

  • Complete training consistent with established program
  • Generate leads
  • Help determine pricing schedules for quotes promotions and negotiations
  • Preparing weekly and monthly reports as required
  • Giving sales presentations to a range of prospective clients
  • Coordinate sales efforts with marketing programs
  • Understand and promote company programs
  • Prepare and submit sales contracts for orders
  • Visit clients and potential clients to evaluate needs or promote products and services
  • Maintain client records
  • Answer client questions about terms products prices and availability


Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment
  • Must have a valid unrestricted Drivers License
  • Must have at least High School diploma or a Certificate of Adult Education Completion (CAEC)
  • Must be able with or without reasonable accommodation to retrieve material from shelves and floor stacks and lift and carry up to 50 lbs. frequently and up to 70 lbs. on occasion
  • If internal to Sherwin-Williams you must have received at least a meets expectations (3) rating on your most recent performance appraisal
  • If internal to Sherwin-Williams you must have completed all HR Cloud eLearning courses required for your current position

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Have at least one (1) year experience working in a retail sales or customer service position
  • Have at least one (1) year work experience in business-to-business (B2B) sales
  • Have at least an associate degree in business sales or marketing
  • Have previous work experience selling paint and paint-related products
  • Have work experience using timekeeping and/or customer relationship management (CRM) systems
  • Willingness to relocate for future job opportunities
  • Ability to read write comprehend and communicate in more than one language
