Job Summary

Do you believe radar signals hold the key to precisely understanding human activities Join us and shape the future of sensing technology! You will leverage cutting-edge radar to reveal invisible patterns. This isnt just about developing algorithms its about laying the groundwork for smarter more intuitive systems.

  • During your internship you will conduct measurement campaigns utilizing a radar sensor setup to capture detailed micro-Doppler signatures of various human activities (e.g. walking waving) gaining hands-on experience with advanced hardware.
  • Moreover you will be responsible for data acquisition and documentation focusing on meticulously recording data in complex multi-target scenarios to lay the groundwork for crucial subsequent analysis.
  • By diving deep into measurement data you will apply and develop sophisticated signal processing algorithms to precisely extract and visualize micro-Doppler features.
  • You will also critically evaluate and enhance existing state-of-the-art algorithms for feature extraction and activity classification with a special focus on improving performance in challenging multi-target environments.
  • A core task will be to innovate by developing novel and creative approaches to significantly improve the robustness accuracy and real-time capabilities of our activity detection systems.
  • Finally you will have the optional opportunity to explore AI/ML integration by investigating and potentially implementing machine learning techniques for robust activity classification expanding your skills in this rapidly growing field.

Qualifications :

  • Education: studies in the field of Electrical Engineering Computer Science Communication Engineering Physics or a comparable technical field
  • Experience and Knowledge: advanced Python programming skills; foundational knowledge in statistical signal processing and high-frequency technology as an advantage
  • Personality and Working Practice: you are a proactive team player who enjoys collaborative work and actively contributes to shared goals possessing strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Work Routine: your on-site presence is required
  • Enthusiasm: passionate about technological innovation and driven to tackle new challenges
  • Languages: fluent in English

Additional Information :

Start: according to prior agreement
Duration: 6 months

Requirement for this internship is the enrollment at university. Please attach your CV transcript of records enrollment certificate examination regulations and if indicated a valid work and residence permit.
