Visiting Assistant Professor – African AmericanBlack History

The Department of History at Connecticut College invites applications for a one-year Visiting Assistant Professor in African American/Black History to begin July 1 2026. We welcome applicants from related fields such as Black Studies American Studies and US History.

We seek a colleague who is an excellent scholar and teacher and is enthusiastic about working closely with students in a liberal arts context. Teaching duties are five classes per year two in the Fall and three in the spring semester.
