Job Responsibilities
- Greeting and preparing patients for examinations.
- Taking vital signs (temperature pulse respiration blood pressure).
- Recording patient history and updating medical records.
- Assisting with procedures such as injections wound care and specimen collection.
- Administering medications as directed by the physician.
- Providing patient education and instructions.
- Maintaining a clean and organized exam room.
- Operating X-ray equipment and positioning patients for procedures.
- Ensuring proper radiation safety protocols are followed.
- Developing and maintaining X-ray films.
- Maintaining and troubleshooting X-ray equipment.
- Scheduling appointments and managing patient flow.
- Maintaining patient records and ensuring proper documentation.
- Preparing and maintaining medical supplies and equipment.
- Answering phones and handling patient inquiries.
Experience
Minimum Required
Experience in a clinical setting preferably in an ambulatory care environment
Preferred/Desired
Minimum of one year experience.
Education
Minimum Required
High School Diploma or equivalent
Training
Minimum Required
Approved nursing or medical assistant course or obtain withing 6 months of hire date.
Special Skills
Minimum Required
Knowledge of medical terminology HIPPA regulations and infection control procedures
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Licensure
Minimum Required
Certified by a National Certification Board or obtain withing 6 months of hire date. |
