Job Summary

Regulatory SME - Portuguese Financial Services ()

Zango is growing fast - and were looking for a Regulatory Subject Matter Expert with deep knowledge of Portuguese and EU financial services regulation to join us.
In this role youll be at the forefront of RegTech. Youll be at the heart of regulatory interpretation and compliance analysis helping our clients translate complex financial requirements into practical actionable insights as part of a major regulatory technology deployment.

What youll do:

- Interpret and explain Portuguese and EU financial regulations in clear operational language.
- Review and validate regulatory content against primary legal sources.
- Support clients on compliance policy reviews and regulatory change analysis.
- Collaborate directly with stakeholders across Compliance Legal and Risk.

What were looking for:

- 5-6 years experience in Financial Services regulation or compliance.
- Law or compliance background (law degree strongly preferred).
- Comfortable working with primary legislation and supervisory guidance.

Fluent Portuguese and professional English.

Startup pace hands-on pragmatic and confident working with senior stakeholders.

Bonus points for: experience in regulatory change policy reviews or familiarity with the Portuguese supervisory landscape.

Location: Portugal (Hybrid / On-site as required)
Contract: 6 months with likely extension
