Job Summary
Staff Accountant
POSITION OVERVIEW:
We are seeking a detaildriven Staff Accountant to support a highperforming accounting function. This role partners closely with management and cross functional teams to ensure accurate financial reporting efficient monthend processes and strong internal controls. The ideal candidate enjoys variety contributes to process improvements and thrives in a collaborative fastpaced environment.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Assists in preparing month-end journal entries and reconciles general ledger accounts
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies and principles
- Assists in payroll activities ensuring data accuracy and resolving payroll inquiries in addition to labor accruals support 401(k) administration and audits
- Assists in preparing month-end closing process and general ledger review including but not limited to generating reports and preparing consolidated monthly financial documentation
- Analyze and report on manufacturing costs including labor materials and overhead and prepare weekly monthly quarterly and annual cost reports for management review
- Conduct variance analysis and recommend corrective actions
- Support Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable transaction processing and other functional ad hoc analysis as required
- Performs other duties and supports special projects as assigned
WHAT WE REQUIRE:
- Associate or Bachelor Degree in Accounting with 1-3 years of experience.
- Demonstrated ability to use analytical skills cost analysis and account reconciliation.
- Proficiency in Excel SAP and Qlik is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders
- Strong understanding of GAAP and core accounting principles
- Ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
- Collaborative team contributor.
