MGP Ingredients is a leading supplier of premium distilled spirits and food ingredient solutions. Its Distilling Solutions segment provides bourbons whiskeys ryes gins and vodkas to craft and multinational brands. MGPs own Branded Spirts business is growing following the 2021 acquisition of Luxco a top spirits producer bottler supplier and importer as well as the 2023 acquisition of Penelope Bourbon known for its wide range of uniquely blended expressions. Ingredient Solutions delivers nutritional functional wheat- and pea-based ingredients aligned with consumer trends. The company operates in locations across the Midwestern U.S. and overseas in Northern Ireland and Mexico.

THE OPPORTUNITY

This position supports the execution of the Signature Selection Single Barrel Program for MGPI and Luxco. This role is responsible for coordinating preparing and delivering single barrel selections tastings tours and sample kits while ensuring operational accuracy inventory readiness and a high-quality customer experience.

This is an hourly position and will be based out of Lawrenceburg IN at our Ross & Squibb facility.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

Barrel Program Operations

Coordinate and support Signature Selection Single Barrel experiences including inâperson barrel selections tastings and tours.
Schedule and support approved barrel selection requests in coordination with the Barrel Program Manager and Program Lead.
Pull proof label and prepare single barrel bourbon samples for tastings and selection kits.
Build ship track and follow up on single barrel sample kits including allocation tracking and documentation.
Tape stencil verify and assist with tracking barrel inventory for single barrel truck shipments.
Maintain accurate records in tracking files and systems related to barrel selections samples and inventory.

Customer & Experience Support

Serve as an onâsite point of contact for single barrel customers during distillery visits tastings and selections.
Conduct and or coordinate distillery tours and guided tastings as needed educating customers on MGPI and Luxco brands distilling processes and barrel programs.
Assist with VIP visits sales and marketing events as required including occasional evenings or weekends.
Coordinate with Sales Brand Ambassadors Visitor Center staff and distillery teams to ensure a smooth customer experience.

Inventory Readiness & Compliance

Prepare set up clean and restock tasting rooms before and after selections and events.
Maintain cleanliness organization and readiness of the single barrel area including bottles labels kits glassware and materials.
Track and maintain accurate inventory records for barrels kits and program supplies.
Follow all standard operating procedures safety protocols and emergency procedures.

Miscellaneous

Complete required documentation and administrative tasks related to the barrel program.
Support crossâtraining within the Single Barrel Program Operations team as assigned.
Perform other related duties as needed to support program operations.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

High School degree required

Previous Hospitality/Bourbon Tourism Experience a plus but not mandatory
Knowledge of spirits industry and the whiskey making process preferred but not mandatory

Over 21 years of age
Previous Hospitality/Bourbon Tourism Experience a plus but not mandatory
Outgoing charismatic personality
Good communication skills verbal and written
Must be flexible to work occasional weekends or holidays
Ability to work in all weather conditions
Must have a valid driving license

Proficient in all Microsoft software (Excel Outlook OneNote PowerPoint Word etc.)
Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Ability to use a hydrometer & a power drill
Ability to read proofing conversion charts
