About the Job
As a member of the site EHS team the EHS Specialist is responsible for ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety fire safety industrial safety and environmental regulations while continuously developing and strengthening the EHS culture. The role involves close cooperation with production and support functions to ensure safe and legally compliant operations.
Main Responsibilities
Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety fire safety and industrial safety regulations
Maintain the Internal Emergency Plan and Explosion Protection Documentation up to date
Prepare and review risk assessments
Investigate accidents and incidents; develop and implement preventive measures
Organize and deliver EHS trainings
Organize and conduct emergency drills
Maintain contact with authorities and prepare required reports
Follow up on audits and action plans
Prepare EHS reports and statistics
Conduct regular EHS inspections and walk-throughs
Liaise with external service providers
Involve and supervise contractors
Actively participate in EHS culture development initiatives and projects (e.g. behavior-based safety programs)
What We Expect
University degree (technical or natural sciences field)
Minimum 25 years of relevant professional experience in an industrial environment
Qualification in occupational health and safety and fire safety
Business-level English both written and spoken
Up-to-date knowledge of occupational health and safety fire safety and industrial safety regulations
Independent and proactive working style
Strong communication problem-solving and cooperation skills
Advantages
Degree in chemical mechanical or electrical engineering
Postgraduate qualification in occupational health and safety engineering
Advanced fire safety qualification
Knowledge of explosion protection
Experience in environmental protection
Experience with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems
Experience with regulatory inspections
Experience in the chemical or pharmaceutical industry
