Job Summary
Nitto Belgium was established in 1974 in Genk and is the largest production site in the EMEA region (Europe Middle East & Africa) of the Japanese Nitto Group. With more than 500 employees we develop and produce sealing materials and various industrial adhesive tapes such as double-sided tapes and surface protection tapes for industries including automotive semiconductor furniture paper production aerospace and metal processing
Our Position
At Nitto Belgium we are not looking for a traditional buyer but for atechnically grounded negotiator who thinks strategically and delivers real commercial impact. As a Buyer you support production and other departments in the procurement of technical investments assets and consultancy services where negotiating challenging stakeholders and value creation are central.
The Buyers responsibilities include:
- Leading complex commercial negotiations with suppliers on pricing contractual terms risks and warranties
- Acting as a strategic sparring partner for internal stakeholders (engineering production management)
- Analyzing technical files and translating them into strong commercial purchasing strategies
- Building and maintaining supplier relationships supported by clear KPIs and performance follow-up
- Contributing to Material & Supplier qualification (MSQ) audits and the further professionalization of procurement
Your Profile
A strong Buyer recognizes themselves in the following:
- Strong commercial ambition; extensive professional experience is not required
- An engineering degree or equivalent technical background
- You gain energy from negotiations and from defending commercial positions
- You strive for the best possible outcomes in negotiations
- The Buyer drives end-to-end value delivery and continious improvement across the Procure-to-Pay (P2P) lifecycle.
- Excellent knowledge of Dutch and English is required
