Job Summary

As a Senior Construction Buyer you will:

Be in charge of the procurement plan for projects involving earthworks demolitions and civil works;
Take off and schedule materials from drawings and specifications;
Collaborate with BESIX Group Procurement category managers to leverage optimal conditions for specific projects;
Send out supplier tender inquiries and analyse the received responses;
Source select and negotiate the best purchase packages considering quality price terms delivery and services with suppliers and contractors;
Prepare purchase documents and issue orders in accordance with specifications;
Assist construction sites with daily plant and materials requirements;
Coordinate with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery;
Deal with site or supplier delivery and invoice queries;
Oversee the preparation and processing of purchase orders and documents in compliance with company policies and procedures;
Report to the head of Purchasing of the Oosterweel Project.

Qualifications :

You have a bachelors or masters degree in Engineering or in Finance;
You have prior experience as a Construction Buyer ideally with infrastructure projects;
You have at least 2-5 year experience in the purchase of construction works;
You have good knowledge of materials used in groundworks;
You have strong negotiation skills;
You have commercial sensitivity;
You are open-minded and an active listener;
You are a team player and you have good communication skills;
You have good knowledge of MS Office;
You have a professional knowledge of Dutch and English.
This is for a permanent contract!
