Group Legal Head of Business

You will be accountable for the legal team that will partner with business and provide legal advice and support for (international and corporate) contract negotiations. You will be a strategic partner to the business on all relevant legal matters on group level affecting the business including strategic projects and product specialization. You will enable business to take risk based decisions in the best interest of DLL. You will provide oversight across key legal areas including M&A strategic initiatives procurementrelated legal matters and data/privacy in coordination with other Group Legal pillars. You will set direction ensure alignment with DLLs strategic objectives and anticipate developments across these areas to safeguard DLLs interests and support responsible business growth.

Day to day:

• Lead and oversee the global legal strategy for M&A joint ventures divestitures and other transformational transactions ensuring rigorous due diligence sophisticated risk assessment and seamless integration of legal financial regulatory and commercial considerations across markets.
• Direct crossfunctional deal teams composed of legal finance risk tax compliance and business stakeholders ensuring alignment on transaction structure negotiation strategy approval pathways and execution while advising executive leadership on strategic fit and longterm value creation.
• Set the global legal direction for procurement sourcing and thirdparty risk management ensuring frameworks templates and negotiation standards support sound commercial decisions and protect DLLs strategic and operational interests.
• Guide subordinate managers and their teams in navigating complex highvalue supplier engagementsincluding technology and datadriven services outsourcing arrangements and other critical vendor relationshipsensuring compliance with regulatory cybersecurity and datahandling requirements.
• Develop and embed groupwide standards for supplier governance negotiation protocols and escalation pathways and provide seniorlevel oversight during strategic supplier negotiations to achieve balanced resilient and commercially effective outcomes.
• Provide senior leadership on global data protection and privacy strategy coordinating across Group Legal pillars and crossfunctional business areas to ensure consistent businessenabling practices aligned with regulatory expectations and DLLs digital transformation agenda.
• Steer the legal contribution to enterpriselevel strategic business initiatives using analytical insight and broad functional knowledge to shape solutions that are customercentric commercially balanced and aligned with DLLs strategic objectives.
• Lead develop and empower a diverse multidisciplinary team of managers and legal professionals ensuring effective stewardship of people budget operational planning and global resource allocation within the function.
• Influence guide and negotiate with senior internal and external stakeholdersincluding executives regulators counterparties and external counselleveraging authoritative legal and commercial expertise to shape highimpact strategic decisions.
• Act as a senior representative of the Business legal function within DLL ensuring strong governance crossfunctional alignment and effective collaboration across regions and stakeholder groups.
• Communicate legal concepts and advice clearly and effectively to nonlegal stakeholders including senior management and operational teams.
• Foster strong collaboration across the Legal network by promoting shared responsibility collective ownership and alignment in how we deliver.

Essentials:

• Masters in law from a relevant jurisdiction
• At least 15 years of relevant experience of which at least 5-10 years in a leadership role
• Knowledge of DLLs business and products
• Organizational sensitivity and great stakeholder management skills
• Flexible pro-active and empathic leader. Ability to be a strategic partner to the business to influence without formal authority and be a counterveiling power
• Fluent in English
