DESCRIPTION

The Franklin Township School District is looking for a dynamic leader who is willing to commit to the nearly 7500 students in its district. Franklin Township located in Somerset County New Jersey is a large and diverse suburban community in the Raritan Valley region within the New York metropolitan area. Covering approximately 47 square miles the township blends suburban neighborhoods commercial areas farmland and open space. The township has an estimated population of about 70000 residents. The community is known for its cultural diversity strong civic engagement parks and recreational resources and support for high-quality public schools making it an attractive place for families and professionals.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Board of Education is seeking someone who:

is a visionary forward-thinking leader with a proven track record as a results-oriented administrator who understands a large involved and diverse community;
has demonstrated success as a superintendent assistant superintendent or central office leader in a large diverse high-expectation district is preferred;
has teaching experience and a record of supporting effective instruction;
has proven ability to navigate board relations governance and policy;
has strong budget management and understanding of New Jersey school finance including current school funding challenges;
must hold or be eligible for New Jersey School Administrator Certificate.
