Job Summary
Job Announcement:
The City of Websters Recreation Division is accepting applications for the position of Summer Camp Director. The position interacts with children ages 6 12 while helping to provide an atmosphere that fosters cooperation growth and self-confidence. Camp Directors are responsible for directing daily camp activities coordinating camp classes field trips and interactive activities and assisting the Recreation Manager with managing the budget. The Camp Directors manage the day-to-day operations of the summer camp. This position supervises and evaluates Camp Counselors to develop and implement camp program activities. This position directs the activity of camp counselors and ensures that camp staff and campers know and follow safety and educational procedures during camp programs. This is a temporary seasonal part-time position and is not eligible for City benefits.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be at least 16 years of age. Prefer High School or College Students. Prior Camp Counselor experience is a plus.
- Must be able to obtain American Heart Association First Aid/CPR certification.
Starting Salary:
- $20.00 per hour
