Job Summary
The Intern - Facilities Administrator will support the Facilities team in the day-to-day operations of building systems and infrastructure. This role provides hands-on exposure in facilities management work order systems (CMMS) preventative maintenance vendor coordination and capital project support within a fast-paced environment.
This internship is ideal for students interested in facilities operations maintenance management or project coordination.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Track and manage facility work orders maintenance requests and service tickets using CMMS or similar systems
- Support preventative maintenance programs for building systems including HVAC electrical plumbing and life safety systems
- Maintain and update facility documentation including SOPs equipment records and maintenance logs
- Coordinate with vendors contractors and service providers for scheduled maintenance and repairs
- Assist with capital project tracking including schedules documentation and budget updates
- Support safety inspections compliance documentation and facility audits
- Participate in facility walkthroughs and site inspections to identify maintenance and operational needs
- Track inventory of facility supplies spare parts and equipment
- Prepare reports dashboards and presentations related to facility operations and projects
- Provide general administrative and operational support to the Facilities team
Education & Experience
- Pursuing or completed an Associates or Bachelors degree in Facilities Management Engineering Business Operations or a related field
- Exposure to CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) or project tracking tools preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Open to currently enrolled college students
Skills & Other Requirements
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data tracking/reporting tools
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Effective written and verbal communication
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Adaptability and eagerness to learn in a fast-paced setting
Additional Information
- Internship Duration: 1014 weeks

Working Conditions
- Regular use of a computer and other office equipment is necessary.
Physical Requirements
- Sitting for extended periods while working on a computer or in meetings.
- Use of hands and fingers for typing writing and handling documents.
- Occasional lifting of objects or materials up to 20 pounds for administrative tasks.
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
