Qualifications Required:
1. Valid Washington State teachers certificate appropriate for elementary education
evaluations
QualificationsPreferred:
1. Demonstrated ability to motivate and effectively instruct students of varying ability levels including differentiating instruction to meet diverse learning styles as evidenced by evaluations and/or professional references.
2. Proven ability to establish and maintain a positive safe and productive classroom environment while building strong collaborative relationships with students families and colleagues.
3. Recent successful teaching experience in a primary classroom setting preferably with culturally and linguistically diverse learners.
4. Training and/or experience implementing the Clear Math curriculum to support foundational mathematical understanding.
5. Training and/or experience implementing the CKLA (Core Knowledge Language Arts) reading curriculum.
6. Experience implementing Direct Instruction programs including UFLI Corrective Reading or other supplemental intervention programs.
7. Experience using data to inform instruction including familiarity with STAR assessments and CBM progress monitoring to support students across a wide range of ability levels.
8. Ability to work collaboratively as a team member in grade-level planning curriculum development MTSS/RTI implementation and other building-level responsibilities.
9. Experience integrating instructional technology to enhance student engagement and learning.
10. Training and/or experience administering and interpreting assessment tools such as STAR Early Literacy/Math and Curriculum-Based Measurement (CBM) assessments.
11. Knowledge of and experience implementing MTSS practices with fidelity to support both academic and behavioral student needs.
12. Demonstrated effective communication skills when working with students families and school staff.
13. Commitment to active participation in Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) focused on continuous improvement and student achievement.
14. Demonstrates a consistent commitment to making decisions based on what is in the best interest of students.
15. Demonstrated punctuality reliability and consistent professional attendance.

2. Prepare for classes assigned and show written evidence of preparation upon request of the immediate supervisor.
3. Provide an effective program of instruction in accordance with the schools adopted curriculum materials by teaching each program with fidelity.

Physical Hazards:While performing the duties of this job the employee must be able to work outdoors in a wide variety of temperatures; from -10 degrees F to 100 degrees F . The employee may be exposed to wet and/or humid conditions. The noise level in this work environment is moderate.
Application Procedure: In-District staffmust complete an internal online application by10:00 p.m. (PST) on or before the closing date.In-building/In-district staff will have eight school days or eight working days during the summer to apply for a vacant position through the online application system. The employee may choose but will not be required to meet with the building administrator to understand the building practices procedures and initiatives specific to the position to which they are applying. After eight days if an in-building employee is qualified for the position the principal will offer the employee the the case that more than one in-building employee is interested in a position the position will be offered to the qualified and senior employee. If a position is not filled in-building after the eight-day period the position will be offered to the qualified most senior in-district applicant if any. Teachers with a summative evaluation score of 1 or 2 are not eligible to transfer unless agreed upon by the District and Association.
