Job Summary
The Supervisor Patient Scheduling oversees the day-to-day activities of the scheduling office. This position is responsible for supervising staff and workload to ensure that work is performed accurately and timely. The Supervisor serves as a subject matter expert assisting staff with resolving issues and enhancing processes.
Job Responsibilities
- Hire onboard and manage the performance of assigned team members.
- Analyze call volumes and work queues and distributes work to ensure all work is performed timely and accurately.
- Perform a wide range of complete duties related to scheduling patient appointments and services.
- Monitor work queues reports dashboards and KPIs to ensure the team is meeting expectations and goals are reached or surpassed.
- Reviews procedures and practices for streamlining or automation cost savings and operational improvements.
- Adhere to all department and organization policies and procedures as well as all state and federal laws and requirements.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education Requirements
- Minimum: High school diploma or GED
- Preferred: Associates degree or higher
Experience Requirements
- Minimum: Three (3) years of experience working in patient access or similar role.
- Preferred: Three (3) years of experience working in patient access or similar role with at least one (1) year being in a supervisory position. Experience supervising remote staff.
License/Certification Requirements
