The opportunity
The selected candidate will
- The Senior Product Delivery Manager will bring a strong understanding of modern software engineering principles and architecture. While not expected to code daily the TPM should have prior experience working closely with engineers solution architects and data specialists. They will able to translate complex technical concepts into actionable deliverables.
- Be responsible for identifying handling and executing product strategies for their function
- The Senior PDM will interact with individuals up to the Partner rank socializing identifying and recommending products
- This role is a primary contact and lead for all product aspects including strategy user experience design development and deployment
- The role will continuously evaluate and validate product vision to anticipate and address changing business and user needs
- The role has accountability for value delivery and budget adherence. Ensuring that resources services and delivery outcomes align with agreed value metrics and budget parameters.
- This role is responsible for helping to find opportunities for products to align to the firms broader organizational mission and strategy and that it is competitively positioned driving revenue and EYs technological footprint in the market
- This role will require a solid understanding of Azure-based architectures data and AI platforms (e.g. Databricks M365 integrations) and modern DevOps practices to ensure effective collaboration across globally distributed development teams.
Your key responsibilities
- Within large projects define and maintain realistic delivery plans ensuring disciplined software lifecycle management across analysis design development testing and release. Drive adherence to quality gates change control and CI/CD processes.
- This position is a leadership position responsible for defining the vision strategy and roadmap for a sophisticated product or a set of products within a product family
- Manage a mid-size team of product professionals as well as roles across a software delivery lifecycle such as architects engineers scrum masters etc.
- Provide matrix leadership and coaching to Business Analysts to ensure user stories are well-structured technically feasible and meet Definition of Ready and Definition of Done standards. Establish and enforce story quality standards and backlog readiness criteria.
- This leadership position is responsible for thought leadership ensuring the product supports the organizations overall strategy and goals
- Outstanding leadership with the ability to communicate the vision and goals of the product product family and offerings
- Drive strategy development establish priorities and manage the roadmap using criteria and requirements defined during research
- Act as the customer advocate articulating the users and/or buyers needs
- Work closely with engineering sales marketing and support to ensure business case and customer satisfaction goals are met
- Have technical product knowledge or specific domain expertise
- Define what to solve in the market needs document where you articulate the valuable market problem youre solving along with priorities and justification for each part of the solution
- Align with business teams on MVP requirements run beta and pilot programs during the qualify phase
- In Agile environments regularly reviews completed work and checks with customers to ensure that it meets the customer expectations
- Is a market professional. Market expertise includes understanding the reasons customers purchase products. This includes a deep understanding of the competition and how customers think of and buy your product. Product Managers need market research and competitive analysis skills to complete these tasks
- Acts as the products leader within the company
- Develops the business case for new products improvements to existing products and business ventures
- Responsible for the development and positioning of 2-3 mid-size products or 1 large enterprise product that is global with responsibility for sophisticated customization. These products enable critical internal capabilities across the firm supporting operational excellence and technology modernization objectives.
- Recommends or requires an awareness of competitive pricing to understand how pricing impacts product profit margin compared to competition
- Execute the product plan collaborating with product owner engineering and other teams
- Translate architectural direction into incremental deliverables. Lead technical discovery and spike activities to reduce delivery risk and accelerate time-to-value. Work closely with solution architects to ensure technical feasibility and alignment with enterprise standards.
- Demonstrate functionality of completed products to partners
- Develop metrics to assess the success of products and features and resolve vital enhancements
- Anticipate changes in market dynamics/models adapts products and creates product retirement and transitioning strategies
- Identify new products and features to create growth opportunities
Skills and attributes for success
- A strong understanding of software engineering lifecycle principles DevOps pipelines and Agile delivery frameworks (Scrum SAFe) is essential. The TPM must be able to assess technical risks interpret architecture decisions and translate them into clear testable and deliverable work items.
- Manage the product lifecycle including market requirements product release plans user stories release criteria product launch and organizational readiness activities
- Collect business and technical input to define and prioritize the product backlog ensuring alignment with architecture and platform capabilities. Partner with the BPM and engineering to continuously refine and sequence backlog items for efficient sprint execution
- Partner with internal customers to validate requirements and priorities through various forums (analysis meetings focus groups etc.) and refine those requirements for broad market applicability
- Collaborate with user experience business analysts and engineers with a focus on defining product functionality and designing solutions that bring differentiating value to our current and prospective clients
- Supervise market changes and trends to assess competitive positioning and opportunities for strategic product enhancements
- Provide regular updates about product direction and release plans to the senior partners and clients
- Monitor and report on delivery metrics such as lead time user story cycle time bug density and mean time to restore service (MTTR) to ensure delivery health and continuous improvement.

- Microsoft Azure or other cloud certifications (e.g. AZ-900 AZ-104 or equivalent)
- Professional Product Management (e.g. SAFe POPM CSPO PSPO)
- Agile or DevOps certifications (e.g. Scrum Master DevOps Foundation)
- Experience using Azure DevOps GitHub and CI/CD pipelines for software delivery
