Position: Maintenance Technician
Location:Lethbridge Alberta
This position will be an afternoon shift.
Responsibilities
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Follows job instruction to meet all established standards for labour material utilization and product quality.
- Ensure equipment runs at expected speed with minimal down time
- Maintain electrical and mechanical reliability of bulk handling packaging lines
- Create and maintain a Preventative Maintenance program
- Troubleshoot
- Continuous improvement through root cause elimination
- Small capital projects
- Acts in a leading role for facility improvements and facility maintenance
- Train operators on operation and maintenance of equipment
- Actively involved with new product development that may impact the manufacturing and packaging process
- Interface with vendors on the possible purchase of equipment and facility needs
- Maintain proper documentation for the dust collector system
- Works with Line-Lead person on insuring weight scales are consistently providing proper data
- Responsible for proper mixture of scent chemicals and additives
- Create and maintain an active spare parts list
- Follows and actively promotes safe work good housekeeping and hygiene practices within the context of current or future legislation and Normerica Safety program
- Attends all monthly group safety talks and alerts the Company of any safety hazard or housekeeping hygiene concerns
OE/Lean
- Acts as resource and champion for department continuous improvement activities

Education:
- HS Diploma or Equivalent
Experience Required:
