We are currently seeking a Property Maintenance Technician to support daytoday operations at Avalon Park - a vibrant familyoriented community in Ottawas St. Laurent neighbourhood just east of downtown. This handson role is ideal for an experienced maintenance professional committed to supporting a community of more than 800 residents where youll play a key role in maintaining modern highquality living spaces.

Responsibilities

In addition to the duties typically expected of a maintenance professional responsibilities will include;

  • Responding to routine and urgent maintenance requests from residents in a timely and professional manner.
  • Performing general maintenance repairs and adjustments to building systems suites and common areas.
  • Support the ongoing upkeep and safe operation of property amenities fixtures and equipment.
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify maintenance needs and repairs.
  • Assist with seasonal property operations including landscaping and snow removal.
  • Ensure work areas are kept clean and safe.
  • Work collaboratively with site staff management and external vendors as required.
  • Adhere to all workplace health & safety policies and report safety hazards to management.


Qualifications

  • 1 years of experience in property maintenance building operations or facilities support role.
  • General understanding of residential building systems (e.g. kitchen & bathroom fixtures doors appliances lighting).
  • Comfortable working both independently and part of a team.
  • Physically capable of performing routine manual tasks including bending kneeling lifting and extended periods of walking.
  • Functional English verbal communication skills.
  • Successful completion of a criminal record check.
  • Ability to provide professional references and have a proven record of reliable work attendance.

  • All work will be completed at Avalon Park; located at 2470 Southvale Crescent Ottawa.
  • The ideal candidate lives close enough to Avalon to respond quickly to emergency resident inquiries (within about 1015 minutes).
  • This role requires participation in an on-call rotation schedule.

Final compensation for this role will be determined based on the successful candidates skills experience and other job-related requirements. We recognize that individuals bring different skill sets strengths and career experiences and we encourage candidates at all stages of their career to apply.
