Make your mark in Enterprise Risk Management

The Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) team partners across the AIG organisation to inform strategic decision-making and to facilitate rational risk-taking that drives profitable growth. ERM ensures we have the right tools processes and systems in place to identify measure and manage our risks. How you will create an impact
This is a high exposure role with a real opportunity to contribute directly to the Risk Teams mission which is to help AIG Pacific execute its CORE strategy across Australia & New Zealand safely. The role will be a key member of the growing ANZ Enterprise Risk Management team reporting directly to the Chief Risk Officer and part of a global AIG community of risk experts.
Key accountabilities of the role are to:
Integrate CPS 220 CPS 230 RBNZ Risk regulatory requirements and other framework components to form an integrated NFR program and formulate AIGs strategic response to its increasing NFR requirements.
Lead AIGs NFR transformation program working directly with the CRO Executive Leadership Team and Risk Team members.
Build mutually constructive working relationships with key executives to better understand how Risk can strengthen its support to help the business execute its strategy safely.
Enhance our sophistication in key focus areas such as operational risk strategic risk risk appetite monitoring or conduct and risk culture.
Network effectively within the global ERM function to leverage the deep experience available so that Australia and New Zealand can benefit fully from global risk expertise.
Preparation of Executive Committee and Board papers that are insightful actionable and concise.
Work closely with the Operational Risk & Controls Assurance compliance legal and internal audit teams both locally regionally (APAC) and internationally.
What youll need to succeed
Demonstrable experience in managing and developing regulatory remediation and/or risk maturity programs.
Be motivated self-organised and commercially minded. You will genuinely enjoy the opportunity to support a complex business to strengthen its governance framework.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage credibly with senior stakeholders and regulators.
Demonstrated experience working with senior executives.
High-level proficiency in Microsoft Office particularly Word Outlook Excel and PowerPoint.
You will need both an eye for detail and the ability to step back and see the bigger picture.
Ability to handle confidential information with the utmost care and professionalism.
Be solution oriented and confident in your judgement; and with the ability to influence change where required.
A passion for risk management and the strong willingness to make a unique impact.
The following would be advantageous:
Prior experience dealing with APRA and other prudential regulators in respect of risk maturity and risk culture.
Have experience in governance risk and compliance (GRC) tools and operating models risk information systems.
