The Roving Assistant Community Manager will travel between CSMs residential properties to support properties with resident and community relations leasing administrative and office operations property quality safety and maintenance rent administration and compliance. The Roving Assistant Community Manager will also be responsible for filling vacant Assistant Community Manager and Leasing Consultant positions until the position is permanently filled. The Roving Assistant Community Manager will report to the Director of Residential Properties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES RESPONSIBILITES AND EXPECTATIONS:
Resident & Community Relations
- Serve as a primary point of contact for residents by responding to questions concerns and service requests promptly and professionally.
- Support resident engagement by assisting with community events communication and retention initiatives.
- Manage resident conflict resolution and escalate complex issues to the Community Manager or Regional Property Manager when needed.
- Prepare and distribute resident communication and notices.
Leasing Support
- Conduct property tours explain leasing terms and assist prospective residents throughout the application process.
- Accurately enter applicant information verify documentation and prepare lease files.
- Execute lease renewals provide renewal notices and support overall occupancy goals to ensure they meet CSM standards.
- Ensure compliance with Fair Housing and CSM policies.
Administrative & Office Operations
- Assist with daily office operations including answering phones greeting visitors managing mail and maintaining organized office files.
- Enter and update resident and applicant information in the property management software.
- Support vendor coordination including scheduling maintenance providing site access and processing invoices.
Property Quality Safety & Maintenance Support
- Conduct move-in and move-out inspections ensuring documentation is complete and that units meet CSM standards.
- Walk the property regularly to identify safety issues cleanliness concerns or maintenance needs.
- Help address and follow up on maintenance issues by coordinating with the maintenance team communicating with residents and ensuring timely resolution to preserve property quality and safety.
- Collaborate with maintenance leasing and corporate teams to ensure high-quality property operations.
Rent Administration
- Process rent payments fees and deposits in accordance with company policy.
- Assist with collections including sending notices following up with residents and documenting communication.
- Support month-end tasks such as reporting bank deposits and reconciliation activities as assigned.
Compliance
- Assist with compliance activities including file preparation income verification and documentation accuracy.
- Help ensure adherence to company policies housing regulations and audit standards.
Presence:
- Positively contribute to the property environment through engagement effective collaboration and communication and involvement in accomplishing property objectives.
- Be on time prepared and present for expected and/or scheduled shifts and meet job required deadlines.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
Education/Experience:
- Education: Highschool Diploma or GED required.
- 3 years of property management experience required.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Strong computer literacy skills Yardi experience preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to engage in interpersonal communication.
- Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on resident retention and satisfaction.
- Solid work ethic with the ability to use good judgment prioritize and execute wide-ranging workloadin a fast-paced environment.
Travel Requirements: 95% travel to local properties in Minnesota with potential to travel to properties out of state (Iowa Oregon South Dakota Wisconsin Wyoming)
Rate: $19.00 USD - $27.00 USD per hour
