Job Summary

The Johnstown-Monroe Board of Education is seeking the following qualifications and proven skills for the
position of J-M Schools Superintendent. The Board seeks a candidate with excellent leadership abilities and
commitment to the highest personal and professional standards. The successful candidate shall demonstrate:

A strong knowledge of educational performance standards with successful experience in improving student
achievement.
An active participant in the community who builds pride in the district promotes business and area
government partnerships as well as collaborates with parents booster organizations community leaders and
other area stakeholders.
The ability to communicate effectively and engage students district personnel community members local
elected officials and the media in important school matters with respect empathy and transparency.
A proven ability to maintain and continuously improve district culture grounded in pride respect empathy
and integrity with a focus on high expectations within the district.
Proven ability to strategically and effectively meet anticipated enrollment growth.
