Job Summary

MalaceHR is seeking a highly skilled and technically sound Maintenance Technician to support facility operations at a 110000 sq. ft. building. This individual will be responsible for maintaining building systems performing preventive maintenance and ensuring a safe and efficient environment for client operations.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in HVAC electrical plumbing and general mechanical systems.


Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain client assets and perform preventive maintenance on all facility equipment

  • Perform scheduled PMs/PdMs across building systems and machinery

  • Support operations team with maintenance and repair of building systems

  • Complete minor plumbing electrical and HVAC repairs

  • Respond promptly and effectively to emergency situations

  • Conduct facility inspections and report conditions impacting operations

  • Handle tenant service requests and general maintenance tasks

  • Ensure compliance with all local state and federal codes including OSHA standards

  • Maintain proper documentation of work performed and materials used

  • Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean safe work environment

  • Identify and mitigate safety hazards proactively

  • Assist with installation and repair of:

    • Plumbing piping and tubing

    • Pumps valves filters and hot water systems

    • Motors (including bearings and seals)

  • Maintain tools and manage inventory of supplies

  • Participate in ongoing technical and safety training programs

  • Cross-train team members and provide backup support as needed


Day-to-Day Activities

  • Performing preventive and predictive maintenance on equipment

  • Troubleshooting mechanical electrical and HVAC issues

  • Completing work orders through BMS systems

  • Conducting routine inspections and addressing deficiencies

  • Supporting building operations with minimal disruption to occupants

  • Coordinating with team members for on-call and emergency coverage


Qualifications

Required:

  • Working knowledge of plumbing electrical and HVAC systems

  • Familiarity with OSHA standards and local building codes

  • Experience using BMS/work order systems

  • Ability to:

    • Operate power tools and maintenance equipment

    • Work at heights (ladders roofs) and in confined spaces

    • Lift and carry heavy equipment/materials

  • Valid drivers license (ability to operate a motor vehicle)

  • Strong documentation and communication skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent

Additional Preferred Skills:

  • Experience managing building systems and inspections

  • Customer service mindset with ability to support client needs
