MalaceHR is seeking a highly skilled and technically sound Maintenance Technician to support facility operations at a 110000 sq. ft. building. This individual will be responsible for maintaining building systems performing preventive maintenance and ensuring a safe and efficient environment for client operations.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience in HVAC electrical plumbing and general mechanical systems.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain client assets and perform preventive maintenance on all facility equipment
Perform scheduled PMs/PdMs across building systems and machinery
Support operations team with maintenance and repair of building systems
Complete minor plumbing electrical and HVAC repairs
Respond promptly and effectively to emergency situations
Conduct facility inspections and report conditions impacting operations
Handle tenant service requests and general maintenance tasks
Ensure compliance with all local state and federal codes including OSHA standards
Maintain proper documentation of work performed and materials used
Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean safe work environment
Identify and mitigate safety hazards proactively
Assist with installation and repair of:
Plumbing piping and tubing
Pumps valves filters and hot water systems
Motors (including bearings and seals)
Maintain tools and manage inventory of supplies
Participate in ongoing technical and safety training programs
Cross-train team members and provide backup support as needed
Day-to-Day Activities
Performing preventive and predictive maintenance on equipment
Troubleshooting mechanical electrical and HVAC issues
Completing work orders through BMS systems
Conducting routine inspections and addressing deficiencies
Supporting building operations with minimal disruption to occupants
Coordinating with team members for on-call and emergency coverage
Qualifications
Required:
Working knowledge of plumbing electrical and HVAC systems
Familiarity with OSHA standards and local building codes
Experience using BMS/work order systems
Ability to:
Operate power tools and maintenance equipment
Work at heights (ladders roofs) and in confined spaces
Lift and carry heavy equipment/materials
Valid drivers license (ability to operate a motor vehicle)
Strong documentation and communication skills
High school diploma or equivalent
