The Team

As a QA Test Lead you will be at the forefront of ensuring the quality and reliability of our critical platforms and applications. You will drive the quality assurance strategy lead a talented team of QA engineers and champion best practices across the software development lifecycle. Your leadership will directly contribute to the stability of our products enhancing user trust and enabling S&P Global to deliver exceptional value to our clients.

  • Gain deep expertise in a wide array of technologies and testing methodologies.

Duties & Accountabilities:

  • Team Leadership & Mentorship:Lead mentor and develop a team of QA engineers managing task allocation providing technical guidance and fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture. Take ultimate responsibility for the teams deliverables ensuring both timeliness and exceptional software quality.1
  • QA Strategy & Planning:Define develop and implement the overall QA strategy and vision for your assigned projects. This includes architecting comprehensive test plans that cover functional load performance API SQL/NoSQL DB and regression testing.2
  • Execution Oversight:Oversee the creation execution and maintenance of test cases and scripts ensuring they are efficient reusable and provide thorough coverage.
  • Automation Leadership:Drive the vision and architecture for the test automation framework. Take ownership of increasing and maintaining high levels of automation test coverage to ensure code quality and support CI/CD pipelines.3
  • Stakeholder Management:Act as the primary QA point of contact for product managers development leads and other business stakeholders. Establish and maintain productive working relationships ensuring clear and consistent communication on status risks and quality metrics.4
  • Quality Advocacy:Champion a quality-first culture within the team and the wider organization. Proactively identify and escalate quality risks and work with development teams to ensure they are addressed.
  • Process Improvement:Continuously evaluate and improve QA processes tools and methodologies to increase efficiency and effectiveness.

What Were Looking For (Personal Competencies):

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field.
  • 12 years of experience in software quality assurance with a strong understanding of the full software and testing lifecycles.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Total 12 yrs exp and 2 years of experience in a QA Lead or senior QA role with demonstrated experience leading and mentoring a team.
  • Excellent leadership communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinker with a passion for quality and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment
