AI & Digital Innovation Lead

Job Description

About the Position

Sting is looking for an AI & Digital Innovation Lead to drive our use of AI and automation across the organisation. You will work at the intersection of technology and business operations identifying where AI can make a real difference building the workflows that deliver it and helping our teams adopt new ways of working.

This is a role for someone who is equally comfortable designing a solution and getting it built. You will work closely with team leads across operations programs marketing and the investment team contributing technical depth and a strategic perspective on where AI can take us next.

Key Responsibilities

AI & Automation

• Drive the design and continuous improvement of AI-powered workflows across the organisation from how we process and evaluate companies to how we run internal operations.
• Identify automation opportunities across teams and implement reliable production-grade workflows using Make n8n or equivalent tools.
• Evaluate emerging AI tools and bring forward concrete recommendations on where they create the most value for Sting.

AI Adoption & Innovation Initiatives

• Champion AI adoption internally introducing tools and workflows into day-to-day processes fostering a culture of experimentation and supporting the team through hands-on guidance and documentation.
• Play a central role in the design and delivery of internal AI challenges and workshops helping colleagues discover practical applications in their own work.
• Actively contribute to the development of innovation initiatives including potential external partnerships with technology companies working closely with the heads of marketing and programs to shape and move these forward.

Scouting & Inbound Pipeline

• Own and evolve our AI-powered scouting platform building intelligent workflows that analyze and structure large volumes of ecosystem data to surface and evaluate promising early-stage companies.
• Use automation and digital channels not only to find relevant companies but to attract them strengthening how Sting is positioned to the founders we want to reach.
• Contribute to the development of smarter matching capabilities that connect startups with the right investors customers and partners.

CRM & Data Infrastructure

• Own and manage HubSpot as the single source of truth for all startup investor partner and alumni relationships maintaining data quality pipeline structure and workflow integrity.
• Own the overall IT toolstack defining which tools the organisation uses ensuring best practices for adoption and keeping our stack lean and effective.
• Build and maintain data platforms that keep information clean structured and actionable across the organisation.
• Work with coaches and program managers to ensure consistent data practices and process adherence.
• Identify gaps in our data infrastructure and drive initiatives to address them.

Skills & Requirements

• Comfortable with ambiguity; able to move from idea to working solution with minimal hand-holding.
• A strong communicator who can explain technical work to a non-technical audience.
• Mission-driven and genuinely excited about the impact startups can have on the world.
• You collaborate well across teams and adapt to different working styles.

Experience & Skills

• 7 years of experience in digital innovation digital transformation or a related technology role
• Hands-on expertise with automation platforms such as Make or n8n with a track record of building reliable production workflows
• Proven experience applying AI tools to real business challenges including LLM-powered workflows data enrichment and intelligent automation
• Advanced HubSpot knowledge: pipelines custom properties workflows reporting and integrations. Experience with other CRMs is a bonus.
• Strong data skills: structuring cleaning and drawing actionable insights from complex datasets
• Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally and support adoption of new tools across teams
