You will bring a sound understanding of how audio-visual industries impact SOCAN and its members. This role leverages an understanding of the Québec audiovisual ecosystem to identify pain-points affecting Screen Composers and Publishers and contributes to service and process improvements. You will offer system and policy insights aiding in the enhancement and the implementation of new policies procedures and services that will meet the needs of our Québec-based members. The role collaborates closely with the VP Québec and Francophone Affairs Account Executives and other internal stakeholders. You will apply specialized industry knowledge to support cross-departmental initiatives and contribute to the ongoing maintenance and strengthening of SOCANs relationships with Québec-based audiovisual YOULL DOProvide administrative and operational support to the Director Film & and document use-cases related to system policy or procedural concerns to support recommendations for Québec-based Screen Composer in departmental working groups related to audiovisual concerns for improved functionality and with the Creative team to help organize and execute audiovisual focused initiatives in Québec including Composer round tables and Montréal à to the implementation of audiovisual related projects (e.g. documentation standardization policies and procedural resources creation of training and on-the-job support materials internal working groups related to audiovisual concerns or functionality etc.)Facilitate education and escalation support around Synchronized of some key Quebec-based Screen audiovisual related concerns related projects and their progress and/or closely with the AV team to ensure Québec cue sheets are educational and industry events duties as requiredWHAT YOU WILL BRING1-2 years of experience working in the entertainment/film television or music industry.1-3 years experience in a Collective Management Organization Production Company or Post-production companyPost-secondary education in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience of and familiarity with Québec Composer communication (spoken and written) skills in French and EnglishKnowledge of Film & Television music and Synchronization LicensingExcellent interpersonal skills with an emphasis on customer serviceProblem-solving/decision-making skillsKnowledge of Québec community and ecosystemKnowledge of SOCANKnowledge of CRM softwareKnowledge of database software (PowerBI Pivot Tables or similar)Proficient in use of MS office (Word Excel) applicationsACCESSIBILITY & ACCOMMODATIONSOCAN is committed to providing an inclusive workplace environment that meets the accessibility needs of employees with disabilities.
