Job Summary

Our client is looking for a Storesman to ensure efficient management of inventory by receiving storing issuing and controlling materials tools and equipment in line with company procedures while maintaining accuracy accountability and optimal stock levels.

Salary and Benefits:

Responsibilities:

Receive inspect and verify incoming materials against delivery notes and purchase orders.
Ensure proper storage labelling and preservation of stock items.
Issue materials tools and consumables in accordance with authorized requisitions.
Maintain accurate stock records (bin cards stock registers or system records).
Conduct regular stock counts (cycle counts and full stock takes).
Monitor minimum and maximum stock levels and report shortages or excesses.
Identify slow-moving obsolete or damaged stock and report accordingly.
Ensure adherence to FIFO (First-In-First-Out) or other applicable inventory methods.
Maintain cleanliness order and safety within the stores area.
Ensure proper stacking and handling of materials to prevent damage or loss.
Enforce stores access control and safeguard company inventory.
Accurately capture all stock transactions (receipts issues returns adjustments).
Prepare daily weekly and monthly stock reports as required.
Assist in reconciliation of physical stock against system records.
Adhere to company policies procedures and internal controls.
Ensure compliance with health and safety standards in the stores environment.
Report any discrepancies losses or risks to management promptly.

Key Skills:

Minimum of 2 3 years experience in stores or warehouse operations (preferably in manufacturing/engineering environment)
Strong inventory control and record-keeping skills
Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
Basic computer literacy (Excel inventory systems)
Good organizational and time management skills
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

Qualifications:

Diploma or Certificate in Stores Management Supply Chain Logistics or related field
