Job Summary

Housewright Construction Inc. is seeking experienced Master Carpenters to perform advanced rough and finish carpentry millwork and cabinetry. This role is responsible for constructing repairing and maintaining structures and furnishings while also serving as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support and train other carpenters. The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise leadership capability and a commitment to quality craftsmanship and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform skilled carpentry work in maintenance repair alteration and construction of buildings structures and equipment in compliance with all codes and safety standards.

  • Construct install and repair woodwork including:

    • Cabinets doors shelving fixtures furniture countertops decks stairways scaffolding and fences

    • Walls floors ceilings roofs and partitions

  • Interpret and work from blueprints diagrams sketches specifications and work orders with accuracy.

  • Monitor and report material needs to the foreman in a timely manner.

  • Anticipate workflow impacts across trades and communicate proactively to ensure project continuity.

  • Train mentor and provide guidance to junior carpenters.

  • Ensure work meets budget schedule and quality expectations.

  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment including daily cleanup.

  • Follow all company safety policies and report hazards immediately.

  • Suggest improvements to increase job site efficiency and safety.

  • Maintain company vehicles and report any issues promptly.

  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development.

Qualifications & Skills
  • Advanced knowledge of carpentry tools materials methods and techniques.

  • Proven ability to perform high-level carpentry work across a variety of projects.

  • Proficiency with power tools hand tools and related equipment.

  • Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents.

  • Excellent time management with the ability to meet deadlines.

  • Strong communication skills and ability to lead and train others.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with teams architects and vendors.

  • Commitment to safety quality and productivity.

Education & Experience
  • High School Diploma or GED required

  • 5 7 years of carpentry experience (master-level experience preferred)

Additional Requirements
  • Must possess basic tools per company standards

  • Valid drivers license required

  • Maintain a clean professional appearance at all times

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to sit stand walk reach and use hands regularly

  • Must be able to lift:

    • Up to 25 lbs regularly

    • Up to 50 lbs frequently

Work Environment
  • Frequent exposure to dust fumes airborne particles and vibration

  • Occasional exposure to varying weather conditions and active construction environments
