Litigation Associate
About the Role:
We are seeking a driven and experienced Associate Attorney to join our team in a full-time on-site capacity in Newark NJ.
In this role you will take ownership of a diverse caseload and work closely with senior attorneys on high-impact litigation matters. You will play a key role in shaping case strategy engaging directly with clients and representing them in complex legal proceedings. This is an excellent opportunity for a mid-level associate looking to deepen their litigation experience while gaining meaningful courtroom exposure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and independently handle a caseload involving complex casualty product liability construction defect New York Labor Law and general liability matters
- Conduct detailed case analysis and develop litigation strategies
- Draft pleadings motions briefs and other legal documents
- Represent clients in depositions hearings negotiations and trial proceedings
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure effective case management and client service
- Maintain strong client relationships through clear communication and strategic counsel
Qualifications:
- 4 7 years of experience as an Associate Attorney with a focus on defending bodily injury and property damage claims
- Admission to practice law in both New York and New Jersey is required
- Proven ability to independently manage cases from inception through resolution
- Hands-on experience with depositions motion practice and trial participation
- Strong legal research and analytical skills with the ability to draft high-quality legal briefs
- Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to advocate effectively for clients
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced dynamic environment
- A collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively within a team
